Waterproof ( hard wearing) for agriculture work

Flexathane, although the crotch tends to go if you're on a quad a lot, for general waterproofness, robustness and boil in the bagness, the older PU coated waterproofs are hard to beat
That is what I use. I wear it for 8 months+ of the year.

Everyone else has moved to Kaiwaka now but it is very expensive.

AP Farm supplies are by far the cheapest for all types of waterproofs in my experience, both Flexothane and Kaiwaka

I have some commercial fishing waterproofs as well. Very good but they don’t survive encounters with barbed wire.

I have lost the chance of a shot twice in the last week thanks to rustling waterproofs. I find the ex Austrian army goretex much quieter but still not perfect.

The Hoggs Greenking range is superb but oil and sheep marker etc stains it permanently. Flexothane is impervious to everything.

Betacraft. I'm out all day everyday. Betacraft best I've tried (I haven't used the more expensive stuff) but I'm not wet in BetaCraft so won't be spending the extra.

Kaiwaka, not at all expensive, if I work out what my laiwaka gear has cost me it would be pence per day it’s lasted.
Tomorrow I’ll be gathering lambs off of turnips in the ****ing rain, I’ll be covered in muck by the end of the day and with kaiwakas it’s as simple as getting somone to hose you off and do it all again the next day. Very hard wearing gear.

Flexothane is out the question as it is very waterproof but on and off the bike my crotch goes and it’s doesn’t like barbed wire. I did enquire abouts Stoney creek but was told they can be too baggy?

I've actually just buggered up a pair of Berghaus trousers. They lasted 18months. I'm temporarily in airflex - uhhh. About to order B&B BetaCraft.

I found the muck stuck to stoney creek more, but it was v waterproof and comfy.

To go slightly off topic back when I started working in agriculture waterproofs were made up of combinations of empty 50kg fertilizer sacks bound by baler twine. Cost £0
