Magnet fishing.

Intrigued.

What happens if you go happily searching in a canal and it finds a dumped car or motorbike?
That is a very good point and why I didn’t go for an extra strong magnet.

If using one it occurred to me that ideally you need two magnet attachment points (centre & edge) and with corresponding line. The point being that should you latch on to an immovable object the only way the magnet can be teased free is by applying pressure on the edge.

Bloody nuisances! They magnet fish in Leicester on the Grand Union Canal. Then every so often one of the numpties pulls up a grenade that's been there undisturbed and causing neither mischief nor mayhem for the past eighty years. So then for the next three or four hours the roads get closed, premises adjacent evacuated and the Army called out. Really. As below at least once a year. It is also banned and those doing it and pulling up ordnance should be prosecuted for wasting police and other blue light services time.

Q. The best dictionary definition of a magnet fisher's casting line?
A. A long piece of rope with a W ⚓ attached to it at both ends!

Totally agree with this. Just want their 5 minutes of fame whilst the rest of us are inconvenienced with road closures etc etc as the mod come out and get rid.
