Out last night.

Ducks and chickens being killed a few nights ago. Also , nearly all taken away the same night but surely a wee bit early for cubs with us ? Anyway, my shooting buddy and I are in situ on opposite sides of the small holding around 20.45 and within 10 minutes it came down the track , spotted his vehicle and set off at a canter . It dropped to his third shot around 160 yards with a 55 gr in the back of its neck .A decent sized dog Fox . No substitute for skill says he ! Nothing else doing so we had a cruise around a few likely spots , and sure enough I spotted one ambling along the heavy ploughing as we drove along the main road. 21.40 . We turned the pickup around further down and drove back past it a good distance , turned around again and pulled into one of the entrances to the field, engine off and waited. She didn’t take long to appear, a little squeak and at around 70 yards , the .243 said goodnight . Scruffy Vixen with a bit of mange . (3rd pic).
No substitute for skill says he……but takes 3 shots for one fox!
Sounds like luck to me 😘👍 Ken.

Out tonight with the 4K LRF on the rabbits.

Bagged 2 within 50 yards of stepping onto the ground and then another 3 within the next hour.

Wish I'd also taken the 17 Hornet with me as I seen 5 foxes too.

Back out tonight then Colin ?

I just made a bait pipe, a little to fancy, I even deburred the cut outs..
Looks very smart mate but, constructive criticism, I think that bottom slit looks bit big. Beauty of pipe is fox can smell and lick out tit bits. You don't want him grabbing mouthful & legging it. Just my opinion.

Went out last night had two, a vixen first she was just mutching about in the field came to the call (hand squeek) dropped on the spot. then a dog fox, saw him come relatively close by but would not squeek in. he went in a big ark about 1/2 a mile away, then came in. I think he was looking for the vixen then he came in to the squeek, dropped on the spot too.

I have the photos but it says file too big how do I upload them please anyone?
