'Flat' antlered Muntjac

Hi

This mature? Gentleman was found loitering where he should not have been............

Not shot one with 'flat' antler rather than more typical shape, so of interest to me as I prefer 'quirky/unusual' head-gear.

Very rarely get anything measured - is this a candidate?

L-R-R,

#6 - very nice in a different way!

For sure that would be on me 'Wall of Fame' for 'quirky-ness'!

Can the 'velvet' be retained in Muntjac...........

Hello Malcolm

Hope you are well as not spoken for sometime.

Thank you for your photo of another example - so not so 'unusual'..........ah well, but 'quirky' enough for me!

Is that 'fluting' a sign of age in muntjac?

It's not uncommon in sika stags of advanced years

That's a beauty! Congratulations, definite keeper without a doubt.
