Bait stations for foxes.

Hi
I’m getting my pheasants this week and my ducks in three weeks on a small syndicate I run. I currently control the foxes from a vehicle with thermal spotter and thermal scope or on foot but I am looking into setting up a few bait stations with highseats over looking them to sit in after I attend to the pheasants on a night.
Has any one got any photos of a bait station they use as you could do with them hanging around a bit to get a shot off.

Cheers Tom

Old freezer crate with a breeze block on top. They will dig under the sides to get at it. Even better if you can fill with old fish heads and guts.
If it needs to be more discreet I have soil pipes attached to fence posts.

DIY Bait station, it worked well… used it when we were lambing.. ..

How often are you putting it out?
I thought buzzards ect might just eat it?
Cheers
Buzzards don't seem to bother as much with dry food but if you put meat / tinned dog food then they seem to be all over it (around here at least). I chuck some out each evening but I'm in the "lucky" position of it being over the garden wall. I say lucky, but our chickens probably disagree!

tomgsp, You do not need to put up lots and lots of bait stations. Depending on your acreage and location one or two here and there will do the job. The key is to bait regularly (not when you remember, or when its not raining, or when you find the time), but regularly.

I really like the look of Sika98k's bait station. I use an old rabbit warren to semi bury the bait, but where that feature is absent then I think Sika98k has nailed it.

Buzzards dont bother em, Magpies will, & weirdly enough Roe deer, Munt & CWD like em, Scatter them well apart in grass, foxes will spend hours searching for them. You can cover a large area with three good handfuls.
