Thank you Rwanda and just keep the change

You have a point. I know that I would not want to be in the crew of an aircraft full of illegal immigrants being deported to Rwanda or anywhere else. As others have pointed out, many of the dinghy borne individuals are fit, strong young men with who knows what training,---- UNDOUBTEDLY ---------being sent here as a fifth column to cause serious disorder.
Swapped that one out.

The immigration problem is dreadful on so many levels but now to add to it - £240m of our utterly wasted taxes and no plan B.
I really do despair….

Immigration is a problem yes, but the reason we we have a drop in living standards and everything has become more expensive isn’t down to those arriving here on small boats it’s down to the ones who arrive here on yachts ! Wealth inequality is growing , the super rich are getting richer every year and that money is coming from us. The only way to address this issue is to tax that wealth back . You can’t tax the the super rich, they don’t live here but their assets are here. A tax on their assets, the Green Party have adopted this method of raising money to fund the NHS etc, it’s in their manifesto.

If the Border Force contracted the illegal migrant job out with a list of our required results before getting paid out to the Sicilian Mafia we might be getting some movement. :stir:

Not just farms, hotels, pubs, restaurants, nurserys.
People already moan about the price of stuff uk, if every one is on above minimum wage everything will be far more expensive
Your quite right mate.... imagine the price of cotton in years gone by if we hadn't had slaves!! Now we need these Africans to clean our hotel rooms and serve our coffee....

..... perhaps your correct and we should continue to bring people from the third world to ease these issues. Perhaps we should steal.... sorry....migrate all their doctors and nurses as well, sounds sensible

Yes but at least I’m not throwing the baby out with the bath water.
We need migration to fill the gap that we cannot fill from our workforce. In particular in Agriculture, health and social care and the hospitality sector.
All areas we need to sort that the last lot ignored.
3.5 million legal immigrants over the last few years if they are all working and paying taxes how come we still have the highest tax burden since the 2nd world War
We had a debt level of 37%gdp when the Tories took over 14 years ago and now it's at 97% where has all the extra tax money gone
Can't people get it in thier heads that the argument for migration for agriculture and the like if these people come here to work and stay how do we need to keep replacing them every year if they are only seasonal workers where have the 3.5 million gone

What is in your opinion the correct min wage then for an over 21 year old?
Our own doctors are leaving because wages are too low
Id sad thats a balance

Ok so you blame the migrants for the tax burden and failing economy?

Think you will find that it had nothing to do with them at all.

The tax burden was as a consequence of government policy, Covid and Ukraine.

The figure you quote of 3.5 million. How many are permanently in this country? How many on temporary work permits? How many have left?

We need these people until we address the skills gap caused by the last governments austerity measures. Remember the lorry drivers?

When Great Britain ruled the waves we went where we liked and took over other countries without a care in the world for who was already there and no one saw a problem with it. We used their resources with no thought to the future to further our own society and make us one of the most powerful nations on earth.

Now we have people wanting to come to us for a better life and it's a case of "not in my backyard".

People risking their lives travelling thousands of miles and then a crappy boat to cross one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world with one of the highest and strongest tides and they're all just chancers out to take advantage of the land of milk and honey?

3.5 million permanent additional visa's
I don't blame anyone it just the facts of what is happening as someone stated earlier 1961 the population of the uk 48 million
The current population 78 million that we know of at what point do the full shutters go up

You cannot close a country without causing economic collapse.
We need migrant workers to fill the skill gaps we have. All the “foreign “ workers you come across are not here taking “our jobs”. more often than not they are filling the jobs that our “native” workers won’t do.
Shut the doors and the impact will be worse than leaving the EU which has all cost us £2000pa.

After theyve gained a substandard qualification ? No, they just go for a better lifestyle (perceived). Most will come back when they need looking after on the NHS !

Poland among other European countries have, and they haven’t collapsed their economies 🧐🙄

Australia has a population of 27 million , how have we got 78 million ? It's crazy 🤪
I will never understand why space per capita is not a key economic measure rather than the number of houses we intend building per year. Obviously france and germany would squeal like buggery when it came to the migrant question …….. oh wait !

They haven’t. They are only stopping EU asylum seekers. They are also a net exporter of immigrants as it’s not a good country to be in.
It’s easy if your country is not a good place to live to stop people coming.
