I switched to Yew tree TLR’s in .308 and 6.5 this year and haven’t looked back since. Sample group is now into triple digits and most happy with their performance. @Yew Tree Fieldsports is also always at the end of a WhatsApp message if you have any questions or problems.

They’re certainly worth a try - won’t be everyone’s ideal bullet, as is always the case, but they seem to work well for me.

@Selous is about to try the 130 TLRs I believe, so I'm sure he'll be able to let you know how he finds them out of his 7RM.

The 7 mm HP and TLRs have been really good on muntjac to fallow in my .280.

I’m just about to try the 7mm TLRs on hill roe in a few weeks. Will let you know how the experiment turns out if you like

That was the original intention for mine. However the dodgy leg is preventing me getting up country.

The rifle is pretty much only used on culling on the hill, so shots are almost invariably prone. If there’s any doubt about the shot I’ll revert to a chest shot though.

I’m in no way advocating this as best practice, but I know what I'm comfortable with when culling.

A decent magnum action and 900 odd quid for a rebarrel, decent stock, then cerakote is going to be £1500-2000.00.
