For RWS subsonics, I'd use these numbers:
Muzzle velocity: 1034fps
Ballistic coefficient: 0.105 - and use G1 as the drag factor
Bullet length: 0.50 (for the ranges you'll be shooting at bullet length doesn't matter, but there needs to be a value entered for the calculation to work)
Bullet weight: 40 grains
Scope height is the distance from the centre of the objective lens to the centre of the rifles bore
Remember that the distance you enter for the zero distance has to be the same distance you actually zeroed the rifle at
Try those numbers and see how you get on
If you are missing at close range adjust the scope height number and if you are missing at long range adjust the ballistic coefficient number.
If you are missing low, reduce the ballistic coefficient number and if you are missing high, increase the ballistic coefficient number

So guess what happened on my 5th zero check shot today? Then it turned itself off! Quick switch on again and next 15 shots no problem….

I'm thinking it's not well insulated down in the bottom of the battery tube

Aye. Stretched the cap spring as Bruce has recommended and now working up the courage to separate the magnets I ordered….Good isn't it. Bloody frustrating.

Yep - as before the damned Zulus turned itself off at the shot - only this time it was when shooting a fox! Now mildly annoyed by the random shutting down on shot and losing footage as a result.
Earlier Bruce kindly suggested little a little magnet on the battery to assist proper contact but I have been loathe to do this as I thought it might compress the cap spring and weaken it. Has anyone tried this plz?
On the more general front I like the Zulus, I even prefer it over the Pard 008P but from other posts there does appear to be a common issue with orange screen/shutting down which clearly needs sorted. To have to bodge a fix on a new sight with a small magnet is disappointing in extremis - over to Zulus to deal with - and soon!

DNT are aware of the problem
My advice is to use the thickest magnet you can that allows the battery cap to be fully screwed on
I doubt there is a short at the front
If you remove the battery and look inside the battery holder, you'll see that the positive battery contact is a cone shaped spring with the small end of the cone making contact with the battery.
I can't see any way for that to come into contact with the body of the scope (which is negative) when the battery is installed

Have you made sure you have really cinched down the battery cap as far as it will go?
I had one of mine on a .243 switch itself off on the shot but on checking there was another half turn on the cap if i really gave it some. It’s not happened since after many shots.
I reckon those having this problem is possibly down to the short thread on the cap and not the best thread match resulting in it wobbling slightly under recoil and loosing connection for a fraction of a second.

Aye- well tightened down thank you PP.
Kinda annoying that the recoil on a .222 is not enough to trigger automatic recording but enough to turn the unit off!
@Foxyboy43 had very similar with an ir torch switching itself off on my .243. Turned out the screw threads for the battery had a little grease on them, once cleaned with alcohol, its never done it since
