Tikka t3 trigger

I’m looking at swapping my trigger spring in my tikka t3.
Does anyone know where the best place is or have links to springs which will bring the trigger down to 1lb/1.5lb?

I've replaced my 204 T3x and 222 Sako 75 trigger springs with Yo Dave's. It is very easy to do and has excellent results. Same spring in both rifles, very crisp.

Or just remove yours, measure it's od, it's length and then it's wire thickness.
Then go shopping and buy the next two wires down. Easy peasey.

Why? The trigger on the Tikka is very good. A lighter spring from Dave at Valkyrie (or wherever you chose) will save you well over £300 over cost a Timney.

I replaced my spring with a much lighter one I found knocking around. It’s easy to do and made the trigger pull much lighter.

I used “thatgunbloke” on the bay of evil, I’ve bought 3 fitted two, a lighter and consistent break on all 3 triggers. I believe that the UK Ava springs are of equal quality and are about 10 days earlier to drop on your doorstep.

I just get Dave to bung timneys in all mine mind I do prefer the 2 stage that’s why I use the timneys.

Some prefer a two stage, so Timney is one of the few available (KRG being the other).

I just get Dave to bung timneys in all mine mind I do prefer the 2 stage that’s why I use the timneys.

I do like the Timneys, but personally not for stalking.

I would rather have a safety catch that locks the bolt to prevent a round being accidentally ejected while carrying.

I’ve been looking at the KRG Midas as a potential solution, because like yourself I do love a crisp two stage trigger, but I haven’t yet managed to find if the KRGs safety catch locks the bolt like the factory trigger does?

There is another alternative - a Tikka 2 stage trigger - ED @ Edinburgh rifles sells these ( although anyone with a GMK account must be able to get them in stock )

Hmmm...I can't recall if mine (KRG) does or doesn't. An email to them might be the quickest answer (mine is on a hunting rifle that I keep at a friends house, near where we hunt, so I can't easily check).
