Finally got mine zeroed today.


Inch high @ 100yd. 32gr knocking on for 4000. Out on foxy tomorrow night. Be using pard 007 but on a FFP scope.... See how it does but thinking Alpex 4k for black Friday!!

No. It wasn't threaded so rfd I got it from had cut thread & re crown.

I've no doubt about that.
I'm thinking 20 Prac as I have thousands of first time fired cases in 223

You will be amazed what that little 20 cal bullet can do.makes me shake my head some times .practical all the way

10 or 15 years ago I was rebarreling lots of .222’s to various .20 cals. Now I probably do a couple of .204 Ruger’s a year. The people who wanted to experiment and have something other than a .223 have disappeared (probably all bought a Creedmoor)
Still got lots of .20 cal blanks in stock.

What blanks have you?

first two to my vartarg. Very windy last night. But I love bad weather and vartarg can certainly handle it. And it's a lot quieter than a standard 223. Getting to really like this small caliber.

A gunsmith once told me you don’t need to worry about the wind when it’s going 4000fps

Am no expert on ballistics but the vartarg is very powerful for it's size. The exit hole in the small vixen I shot were the size of a orange. Ed from Edinburgh rifles has a sako75 20ppc for sale. Might have to buy it.
