Reckon things would be a lot better here, if defending yourself was looked on more favourably, Always an issue here "Will I be looked on as having done more than needed"Makes me laugh when UK people mock American principles of defending yourself or property....like we have it better! Idiots.
Makes you wonder whether to keep a JCB on standby!SSS.
Pigs...Makes you wonder whether to keep a JCB on standby!
A 'friend of a friend of a friend' once told me a tale of a farmers who, when confronted by a couple of 'travelling gentlemen' in a transit promised that if he saw them on his ground again he'd bury them. Inside their van.Makes you wonder whether to keep a JCB on standby!
Yes, all I said was those JCB's are pigs....And all I said was SSS. Stay safe surely.![]()
It didn't though.to protect people
Yep. Every time one of your countrymen makes a comment like that I just smile, as I look at the crime statistics in the UK.Makes me laugh when UK people mock American principles of defending yourself or property....like we have it better! Idiots.
100%Yep. Every time one of your countrymen makes a comment like that I just smile, as I look at the crime statistics in the UK.
The US isn't perfect, by any stretch of the imagination. But the reason we don't have as much armed burglaries or home invasions as you do, is because here they'll likely get shot for their troubles. Either by the homeowner or a neighbor (we have "good Smartian laws" that don't allow prosecuting someone for trying to help a neighbor).
If you can't defend your life or your property, you're just a subject, relying on the grace and good fortune of the government to protect you. Screw. That.
