Hi folks.
I submitted my coterminous renewal documentation (with completed doctor’s form etc) well in advance (4 months) last autumn with my certificates due to expire in March.
Dorset police acknowledged the receipt of this and immediately sent me an 8 week extension letter.
I’m now over 4 weeks into an 8 week extension and still haven’t heard anything.
With previous experiences of timescales, it’s fairly certain I won’t have a new certificate in my hands prior to the expiry of the 8 week extension.
What have your experiences been? Do they simply start rolling the 8 week extension until they can get their job done?
I’ve sent 2 very gentle emails (which they say they will endeavour to respond to within 72 hours) and haven’t had a reply and one phone call wasn’t answered.
Fortunately too busy with work at the moment to be getting out much so ammunition isn’t a problem.
However, will be organising storage at this rate at significant cost!
Thanks
