Pard007SP

Thinking I might swap my Alpex and get a 007SP. Anyone know how much weight the lrf adds? Do these have firmware updates to do? Will dark engine blade work with it?

Cheers

Not enough weight to notice, I'd be more concerned about the length added to your scope to get a comfortable head position, dark engine should work well

If you can wait a little while longer, mid June, there’s a 4k version coming out. I’ve reverted back to my 007A from a hik and they still do the business but will definitely be getting the 4k ASAP.

With the sp I find my head postion is the same as when in normal use. My old 007a did need me to shift my head back on the stock. If you've got adjustable turrets on your scope they can block the lrf, I mount my ir at 45 degrees to avoid the same problem. Other than taking those points in to consideration, just switch it on and shoot.

I just find alpex 4k is too heavy and too pixelated at high zoom

Pard are crap compared to Alpex
When you're as technically retarded as I am, something as simple as a Pard add-on is about my limit, I would like to buy a PVS-14, but the cost .
My nephew splashed the cash on a brand new Alpex, brand new Tikka T3x, the whole shebang... he's still buggering about with the Alpex, and tbf I wasn't impressed with the image when I had a look in daylight, he tells me it's brilliant at night, and as soon as I look through it I'll be buying one... I know where I'm at with a day scope and add-on though.. in the dark ages...

I like the Alpex and think the image at night is decent and the image in the day is pretty good as well.

I changed ammo in the .243 and rezeroed with 2 shots. A bit more faffing then a day optic but overall its spot on for the money.
