We’ve discussed this haven’t we.
I have no issue with the product I bought from him 12/13 years ago.
Things have since transpired which mean I wouldn’t deal with him again.
So the answer to your direct question is an unequivocal - NO
Why did it take three for you to form that conclusion?

First two were fine, the third was a major problem………
Sorry to hear. I had a major problem with my ‘custom’ rifle - it’s not of a standard where I would consider using it for stalking.

Don’t, he scrapped a rifle of mine trying to get the barrel off the action, there was no need to do this, but he said the thread was wrong on my barrel, in reality, he had made the moderator wrong as the barrel and rifle in question was built by Callum F.
Tried to take barrel off action in front of me, and then when I said “you’ve twisted the action”, spent the next few hours trying to rectify it, pretending nothing was wrong.
Sent me away with a very out of proof rifle and when I shot the gun again, it was 3’ to the right at 25 yards. I had to scrap it, honestly do not touch!!!!

There do seem to be a lot of reports here of badly made products and terrible customer service / communication. Personally, I’d never deal with this company again.
We have taken in a total of 12 of the moderators over the years
Given they cost upwards of £4-600 they were essentially “handed in”

In testing they were significantly less efficient when it came to sound attenuation

He actually got quite threatening when I said you have scrapped my rifle!! Horrible man, horrible service, horrible experience. and I’m just glad that over the last 5-6years of this happening, I’ve been able to tell everyone I know of this tail. He bad mouthed a lot of other rifle makers when I was there, saying that their work was sub-standard, and this is why the moderator didn’t fit, and because of this needed to re-crown and re-thread my custom rifle. I did report and go down a claims route, letters back and forth, but i had no way of proving what he did.

Sounds all to familiar, he’s has done it so many times he knows how avoid taking any ownership of the problem.

I’m afraid I’m another one who had a similar dismal experience. And yes, threatening and deeply unpleasant with it. Avoid.

I’m surprised, and disappointed to hear all of this. I have one on my .308 and others have commented how quiet it is. Engineering quality of the mod and threading/crown seem excellent. I bought it from someone who had cancelled their order via another RFD so never met him.
