Lightweight boots

Hello
Looking for recommendations for a lightweight boot.
I’m a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to boots, lundhags and meindle are my go to, with all this dry weather I was looking for something lightweight and a slightly softer sole that I can feel underfoot, saves me crunching through all the dry twigs and branches😊 had a wee look at the Salomon 4d? And look reasonable.
Cheers

Have had this pair of Solomon’s over well over 12 months- use them daily sorting horses , walking dogs and stalking- now will let a bit of damp in if very wet. But very comfortable and will get another pair when they wear out - wife recommended them as she does silly 100k walking challenges on a regular basis.

I grabbed some lightweight, waterproof, Mountain Warehouse trail running shoes. They've been absolutely lovely for stalking in now that the weather has dried up and in the slightly boggier areas, they have kept my feet nice and dry and I can hose them down when I get home.

I feel I can only really comment on here about a couple of things boots being one of them.

The Salomon 4D I have a couple of pair - they are nice lightweight boots - worn daily, dog walk etc.

My home boots I don’t look after, mud, horse **** (it’s corrosive it seems ), stays on get hosed off or it falls off depending if they need to be clean. they last about 18months before soles wear or they start to come apart.

If you don’t mind the colour you can pick up a discount pair from whoever is selling them off in a sale.

Have a look at the South African made Rogue boots: Here. I bought the baseline model about a month ago for warm weather walking. Old school leather construction and leather inner, no membrane linings, and good rubber outsole. Very good service too from the importer.

Haix army issue desert boots, £60 or so new unissued on eBay, spent a week wearing them in Africa earlier this month, light, supportive and very comfortable.

I found them pretty light and there is something about the sole that makes them really quiet plus they aren't expensive.

I also wear these as my lighter walking/fishing/stalking boots but I'm going to guess that they are a bit heavier than what is required here:
