For Sale: HIKMICRO ALPEX 4K LITE LRF OFFICIALY RELEASED - ORDER NOW !

Better night vision or better last light capability? I'm tempted by these as I liked everything about my big Alpex 4k apart from the weight. I'm not at all arsed about seeing in colour for a bit longer at last light, even with my Alpex I put it onto b&w mode soon as I could. So is the b&w mode on the lite much worse than the b&w on the big Alpex Ian?
The aperture on the orginal Alpex 4K is double the size of the Alpex Lite, so it's going to let more light transmission into it.

The Lite is great day and low light and I've been shooting rabbits out to 140 yds with it at night. BUT the image 70-300yds distance with night vision is not as good as the original 4K, purely down to the smaller lens size.

You won't get any BS from me mate... fire away with questions... I'm not like some of the retailers using nackers to promote any old crap every week, no souls have been sold here, plus you have first hand experience of all the products on tap, can't put a price on that :D

The Alpex 4K original is better at night yes. Always will be due to the huge lens on it. The Alpex Lite is deisgned for airguns, so if your using a centrefire, I would stick with the original for the best night time performance at all distances.

I’m looking for an upgrade from my Yukon for .17HMR, so the lite looks like a prospect, but the Zulus is also calling… any others I should consider? I’m not shooting beyond 120 yds, because of my ground and I considered an add-on but the scope I have is an old Swaro Habicht so probably less suitable.

All depends on your preference on tube or box style format if your looking at the Alpex and Zulus models..

Having thought about it, my preference is for a good image - not bothered about box or scope. Battery life and weather proof is a must, so the Alpert Lite is looking like a front runner. Any difference in warranty between them? Not that bothered about LRF as I know the distances on my ground.

Really wanting one on a .223! So impressed with the full size version that if this little one is as good as being touted then it’ll be worth the ‘what the hell have you bought now’ talk from my wife!

If you own a centrefire stick with the original. The design intent for these is for airgunners, Although daytime and lowlight performance is excellent, so, they would suit stalkers also. For long range at nght the full fat Alpex 4K is the choice.

Appreciate the honest viewpoint, I was thinking it would suit a lightweight Roe stalking setup with shots under 200 yards at dusk / dawn.

Yes it's OK on .243, no eye relief issue with rubber eye piece on. Using on lightweight rifle which recoils, would be better on standard heavier rifle. Picture quality same as bigger model but obviously doesn't cover the same size sight picture.

I just bought the LRF model and the picture is astonishingly good. Slight issue with eye relief and glasses but we will adapt and overcome! Tomorrow to become more familiar with the unit before it goes on the .17 hmr and then to the field for zero and then its first fox…

At those distances I'd go for the zulus mate. Image and built-in ir are outstanding for what you require 👍
