Apparently illegally rewilding is Gods work 🤔

Hello, Well the Farmers are not happy on this illegal activity and who can blame them , I do not know the legality of this but there must be restrictions once Beavers are found on their land ??

Having a Christian background I was always taught the to live under "God's Law" you had to start by living according to the "Law Of The Land", so as rewinding is not "legal" then how on Earth can it be God's work?
It seems that these rewinding plonkers live on cloud nine and believe that they are a law unto themselves and will make up any excuse to justify their "activities"! :banghead:

Maybe the wrong god? Catholics ate all the beaver

Of course the boot is on the other foot, for some, in respect of muntjac, wild boar and for some anglers the zander.

Be a terrible shame if someone with a possible unfortunate, inevitable and immediate result (as these were illegal releases were seen in an area where there was no licence to release said beavers) mistook the dear thing for an overlooked coypu?

And anyway, and not least, there's only one "God's work" in the countryside and that's culling on sight grey squirrels by any lawful means possible.

Am I the only one that thinks the outrage expressed here because someone is doing with beaver exactly what shooters did with muntjac, roe and boar for decades, and which they continue to do on an annual basis with pheasants, mallard and french partridge is just a wee bit hypocritical?

The release of pheasant and redlegs is done under a General Licence. So on that there is no comparison with illegal beaver release and mallard are a native species.

Gods work you say…..
Best get some legal big guns in then.
I hear S.Claus & T .Fairy are a good firm and come down hard on lack of hairy beaver habitat maintenance.
I learnt at a young age that entering areas of poorly maintained beaver habitat was a risky and sometimes an unpleasant experience. Took a while to learn from my mistakes back then but discovered that certain pungent aromas and unsprung traps could lead to disease and unpleasant trips to the clinic 😂😎👍

Roe are indigenous so should't be included.
Pheasants, mallard and French partridge are bred as a harvestable crop as all farming 'crops' are - why not include?
Boar and beaver, once present are debateable........why were they eradicated? Most probably because they are a bloomin pain.
