Out last night.

Called at a new farm today for pigeons but only 1 field cut and nothing about so scouted around to another farm I've never shot since last year and found a wheat stubble black with corvids.

Call to the farmer and he said crack on. Hastily set up and had birds decoying immediately.

It turned out to be the best 2 hours ever , the birds all called and decoyed brilliant. I couldn't shoot some as the barrels were red hot and burning my hand.

I ran out of cartridges shooting 143 for 175 in 2 hours. As I was packing up they were still decoying. Another day on the cards I think but I will take 500 cartridges next time.

Off out foxing tonight ..busy,busy, busy

That’s great shooting, 1 bird every 40 seconds ish, no wonder the barrel were burning!

Just in - and honestly what an awesome 24 hours really

As i said earlier fox last night
62 crow /jacks with the lads - 1 who also shot his first goose this weekend - then when i thought it couldnt get any better - down the road with another pal - 4 munties for me
1 and a fallow for a pal and the goose lad was sat with his mentor and our pal and got 2 munties - his first 2

What a brilliant day - and another chap well and truly fallen in love with our way of life

Morning Charlie - no mate - never seen one - Closest i hear was Renishaw - 75 I think said he saw one up top of Cutthorpe

One shot at Stoney a few year back, buck and 2 does knocking around on trailcams this side of Dronfield. Plenty around the other side of the M1 - Bolsover, Scarcliffe kinda way. They are coming

First cubs this year but from different litters , they were about a mile apart. 1st one I spotted and called in with my hand , came straight in to around 60 yds.

2nd one was just mooching on some stubble , very small this one.

I was out on Sat but was so upset at your response (and Kenbro) I was to scared to talk about it
