Roe kids

Given that the purpose of deer management is usually to reduce numbers these days, why would you want to follow a policy that will increase numbers?

Well roe generally should have twins so I would presume the roe only having a single fawn are doing poorer than they should for some reason. How that fits in anyone’s particular management plan will likely vary from individual to individual

Prolificacy is highly hereditary, so by culling out those that only produced a single kid you'd be actively selecting for a higher recruitment rate

Been a good year for leatherettes and kids ds, despite the worst drought in 60 odd years.

But there do have access to ponds etc
