Just after any recommendations for the above. The Cruelty Officer(Wife) is in need of a hard wearing, waterproof, warm(this list is not exhaustive)🙄pair of general purpose yard boots.
She doesn't want a Neoprene Wellington boot.
If any of you fellows are a Equine Widower like me you'll understand what's required.
Please help as I'm out of suggestions after days of"How about these Dear"🤯🤯

what are the other women down the "yard" wearing would be my question

My other half struggles to kill her ariat boots... they get a measly smear of renapur once every century.... they aren't cheap but even i think they are worth the
money

It's not that simple Tim...believe me😭😭
It is, show her this 😱
And when she comes down off the ceiling you can say I have brought you some "mucker boots"🌹

I have had rubber soled RM Williams for about the last 20 years (and leather soled for 15 before the) but the quality on the most recent pair is a shocker and they now cost £350. No response from customer service about cracked uppers so moved on...waterproof Ariat "dealer boots" doing the job since about Jan. Bit hot at this time of year but we still have wet grass here!

Interestingly I've been looking at some RM Williams boots, but have heard the same from others regarding the drop in quality.

Which model of Ariat did you go for, as they seem to do a wide range of dealer boots?

Mine are the “Wexford Waterproof” - I got them on sale for about £120 I think

RM Williams. Ok they are dirty but I have kept them waxed…honest…the leather has cracked right through on both boots, I have had previous pairs resoled with the uppers still good.

My wife and myself both use these. Best work boots I've ever owned and we both use them for the horse yard as well as work. I wear the soles out before the rest of the boot gives up.
They're pretty warm, i've been welding down at Liverpool docks mid winter when you have to grind the ice and paint off the steel first and with decent socks i didnt have a problem. Abit hot in summer but thats the joys of high leg boots unfortunately.

These:

My eldest daughter wore a pair of these throughout the whole of her 5 year veterinary course, and now almost exclusively for all her large animal and equine work. She pretty much lives in them. She's still on her first pair, and they're showing no signs of breaking down. She wears them hard, and I doubt she's ever treated the leather with anything. They really were money well spent.

I wear Ariat yard boots 👍
Comfortable , waterproof , very light and fit in your stirrup's well enough for a Sunday morning tear about on your Hunter , well for a little while 😂
