Price of shotgun cartidges

I've loaded a fair few but not used them on anything other than targets so best see if anyone here has more experience with them. There's a few good utoob videos of them.
Yer mite do the lee load looked a bit bask compared to the manufactured tall fins but wanted to have the choice of making my own ,,,,,, just that a though how much are slugs Gona be after the led ban hahahaha

I recall slab of 250 clay cartridges being £27.

Last week i bought 1000 cheddite clay cartridge and 1000 Zenith Eco wad 35g 4's and it was £928

Of which the Zenith's would probably be about £650+ on the total? They are a very premium cartridge from memory 😅

How do you find them and what do you shoot with them but someone on a day last week was using them on partridges (although a less substantial load). Never tried them, typically use Black Golds.

Used to use black gold about 7-8 years ago, swapped over to these about 3 years ago. i rate them and the majority of the shoot team use them and rate them too.

hoping they'll last the season for me which is 10 days shooting i still have some Black Gold i sue when pigeon shooting.

Nice! To be fair, I don't tend to shoot anything more than a 28g 5 or 6 for my shoots 😅

when i was clay shooting a lot , 1000 28g 8 shot cartridges were £82-£87 ish

times certainly have changed

No, or shouldn't be... Unless you're buying it in 28b or something

Prices are still always still climbing, but that sounds a bit high. Price check against just-cartridges
Think I need to! I don't shoot much shotgun these days, and at a quid a bang that'll not change 😆

Gone are the days when you had to shoot brace of pheasants to pay for a box of cartridges!
William Boa in Biggar high street used to sell 'GP Turbo' (basically plastic-based Ely Grand Prix) loose at 10p each. Many was the time I carried my 25 home on the bus in a brown paper bag. And at that time (early 80's) many farmers would hand over cartridges for you to shoot vermin and pests!
