Why are people selling Alpex 4Ks so often?

Yes.... you see people go shopping with their 2 empty bags and walk home with their arms stretched with full bags.
I guess a lot have never walked across field with bags of long nets ferret box spade and a slasher dug out the ferret and come back with a dozen.
Far to soft these days
I think you lads are in the second camp lol
If you'd have seen the ferret box that my day made me in the 80's....Jesus Christ, I swear it was 3ft x 18", two shoulder straps. Bottom section for ferrets, upper section for nets and kit. It weighed a freaking ton! Walking with wellies that picked up Suffolk clay and each boot combined weighed more than I did!

I know where your coming from but it’s the fact as soon as I’ve ranged it with the LRF I don’t need to give it any holdover or under , we’re shooting at very very close ranges inside some milking parlours (3m) then it’s anything out to 35m We’re head shooting as many as we can for a guy who gives them to his falcons 😉or should I say my younger mate is , and when you have 30 -40 up in the H beams it’s nice to be able to pick them up with the IR press the button and shoot we don’t need to take our eyes of them . Apart from the bulk and the weight of my Weihrauch I’m over the moon with the set up for £££ .

For that scenario with an air rifle then its a definite help for sure👍

If you’re using IR you’re breaking the law, and then advertising it in a public forum.

A lot of movement to the 4K Lite because of the weight.

I've just bought a second Lite because they're that good. Using it makes my .223 Zulus seem like an abacus Vs a calculator. I'll replace that too at some point.

Bruce addressed a number of issues with forward mounted NV gear that is scope mounted

The pic rail mounted kit is different

I’ve an alpen and it works - get used to using it - ignore the image quality in daytime bright light (you can ajust to get it reasonable )

The low light ability's far outweighs any day issue

I won’t be selling mine

The no pix is another price bracket entirely

For a cheap entry to low light I don’t think anything comes close to the alpen
Does it work as well in dense woodland? I ask because if the contrasts you can get in dappled sunlight. My ranges are well within 100 yds and I wonder if the brightness is a good trade off vs the clarity of Swarovski habicht glass?

They are cheap enough to buy on a whim, then folks realise that A, they are too complicated for them, B, they aren’t using them to the maximum of their ability.

This summer I didn’t use mine on roe bucks, as I don’t find I need to push towards first/last light. But for reds and sika in autum/winter I certainly will be doing.

A - but who says I don’t have a Speacial Licence which you have to apply for through Nature Scotland which allows you under strict conditions to take feral pigeons which are a Health and Safety problem and a risk of disease .

Fair one. Do you, and your friend?
