Chatsworth Country Fair having your trousers down?

I treat the game and gun shows as a few hours out, then into the pub on an overnighter with friends. Just a good excuse for a lads night way. Rarely see any bargains, but then again, not looking too hard.

Greed happened
Nah, health and safety and other bureaucracy happened. Have you any idea of the cost of staging events?
Dozens of stewards need paid, Marquee hire, herris fences, security, temp ground protection, toilets, first aid, Insurance (mega bucks!!) and on and on and on..

For a large number of visitors they re-coupe the entrance by taking what they can from stall any holders. Some making a fair bit of profit too from what was stolen from the shows this year.

I dont know the facts of this particular show but im involve in a local agricultural show. Our costs are in excess of £30,000 to put the show on. With a £10 entry fee, plus trade stands and sponsors there is very little left. In a good year we can make a few thousand but in a wet year we can loose £10,000.
