To "move the seat" that is the question?

Battery changes were needed on both cameras as it won't stay this mild for much longer so from what I have been seeing from both the "pond field" camera is far less busy compared to the other unit.
Last season was the other away around but that might be when the big shoot starts the deer get pushed out "who knows" I put up a seat against the only decent tree with lots of deer seen but from where they are coming out also lots of does it needed the free standing one as it cut the range down by quite a bit.

"Puppy Finn" is coming on well just needs a bit more time with me one to one so a good opportunity to re-enforce what he has in him, while I was changing battery's and pulling the seat apart he was grubbing around the pond also we walked the ditches as a rough shooting dog should do.

A few "left-right" commands at the end before the barrow push back to the truck worked well!
Seat move went well with a text back from the owner :tiphat: so he knows where it is, 10mm wire cable and padlock is the best you can do!

Did the move pay off "yes" as a lone buck came out around the same place last night making it a 160yds (better than 260) lung shot dash around 50 yds with one spin around and he was done.
40kg dressed with the lungs both blown out. shot time 6.35.

You've got a good crystal ball Tim and thanks for posting. But I tell you what. I've been looking through TSD and noticed the large dominance of Spaniels. It's great to see and I'm thoroughly enjoying it all. Over here the Oz hunting forums dominant breed are GWPs. Spaniels of any sort are almost non-existent. Even the Labs are a bit light on as are GSPs and Weimaraners. I think I'm the only one in Ozland using Cavalier Spaniels for hunting and even that was by accident rather than by design. The Cav Spaniel is not a legal breed for deer hunting here in Victoria so I had to get an exemption for each of my Cavs so I could use them.

People have asked me if I use the spaniels to track deer, in short no as the bigger % are muntjac also bucks (they have a bigger territory) to tend to pass through a lot more, the main thing is their fangs are so sharp they would open up a thin coated dog to the bone in one slash.
Can't find any reason to put my dogs through that :tiphat:
