Savage 11

I cant find any good reviews here using the search so here goes

I was originally looking to buy a howa 1500 or a tikka to drop into a chassis and make a long range tackdriver.

But i ran into a used savage 11 in 223 with supressor and a half decent scope for less than half the price of those other options.

I have zero experience with savage however exept their combination guns are junk compared to tikka ones.

I like pinching the pennies but i want to make sure iam not buying a rifle unsuited to the task!

Anyone own these rifles and are they any good? by any good i mean can the barrel shoot alongside the other options?

btw, the 11 is the short action version of the 110 as i understand it.

I own Savage 14 Euro classic in 243win - no problems at all, shot 0,5moa if I do my part. However 223rem calibre is built on different action, and is not the same rifle.

I have savage 16 in 243, it’s decent as a tool. Accurate, plastic and stainless and for some reason is my go-to. Think the difference is that 11 is not stainless?

I see that one has an accutrigger. I like accutrigger.

The stock is the least of my concern, thats at best sold on or at worst trash. I intend to make a tacticool foldy thingy out of it that packs easy and allows all the cool call of duty gadgets.

jokes aside, iam looking to essentially make a stripped down bare bones tikka tac a1 inspired rifle. Focus on portability and accuracy.

Having owned 2 savage rifles now I'll never own another. Id definitely go howa or if you want to sell it on for decent money in the future go Tikka. I went remington myself.
