petition to keep both section 1 and 2

So when this comes in how will it work will the sgc be the same
But treated the same as rifles probably no one knows yet but just a thought

If you lived within Hampshire FLD area you wouldn't ask such as crass question. Shotgun certificates conditioned for target shooting only, ammunition limits, restrictions to land approved by the Chief of Police only, good reason for each and every shotgun, 1-4-1 variations, etc. don't we have enough pettifogging nitpicking from FLDs ignorant of the law already?
I do live in Hampshire. Is this what you think will happen or what the gov has said will happen? Sorry for my thoughtless and insensitive comment. Let me know if there’s anything I can do, hope your ok. 👌🏻

Unfortunately ladies and gentlemen, this is the lay of the land.

It does not matter one bit what the shooting organisation say, they can fluff up the politicians all they like, schmoozing them with big words and B/S as much as they want, but it is not gonna matter one iota because the government will do what they want to do not what we want them to do, so really at the end of the day you get the hand your dealt and you work with it best you can.

No parliamentary petition is going to make one ****’s worth a difference

I tell it like it is, black and white!

You can sit there and try and make the shooting world perfect if you wish, but unfortunately, you’re always wasting your time no parliamentary petition is gonna swing in the way of the shooting community!

I’m gonna watch this closely because one of two things is going to happen either-

1- there won’t be enough signatures
2- the government will just throw it out and nothing will change and it will be what it will be.

And then I’m gonna turn around and say 🖕 told you so!

Anyway got a busy weekend got a tribe of women from Artemis coming stalking

STALINS and his toxic government are pretty much dead in the water and they know it
Reform are miles ahead in the polls
There running **** scared they are trying to cancel by elections because of Reform
so maybe this consultation won't happen

Just like the "Say no to Digital ID" petition.
The standard response was, "Thanks for your concern, but the government is going to push ahead with digital ID for the good of the country."

no you do not tell it like it is, nobody knows the outcome yet, if you want to roll over then just go and find another hobby and leave us who care enough about shooting to fight on.

A whole myriad of issues
Variation to buy new shotgun
Valid reason to keep the old heirlooms
More permission forms being filled in
Limits on ammo
Restrictions on storing ammo
Cant loan
Barriers for new entrants and so on
Increase police workload so things will be even slower.

Unfortunately, for me my opinion is a curse, because I am guilty 100% saying it exactly like it is, so if you wish to fight carry you on meanwhile I’m just gonna carry on doing what I’m doing for as long as I can until the government figure out a way to take our guns away from us, which won’t be long next 15 years just like our predicted five years ago when I said it would be 20

You don’t tell it like it is, you tell it like a miserable sod who always assumes the worst (and perhaps wants the worst, just to be proved right).

The proposal is for greater alignment or some such. Abolition of s2 would be the easy way to achieve that, but doesn’t have to be.

The only thing that’s certain is if that we all bend over (as you seem to recommend) that whoever wants the abolition of s2 (GCN, lazy politicians) will be the only voices in the room, and any opportunity to lessen this will be lost.

Some examples of where this has helped:

- 50 cal ban, which didn’t happen.
- Airgun licensing, gets talked about but (Scotland aside) hasn’t happened.
- lead, they don’t intend to ban everything as was being threatened.
- Game bird licensing, which gas just been dropped by the Scottish govt.
- moderators, quite probably.

If you want to quit, go ahead and **** off but do it quietly.

The rest of us are happy to risk the 30 seconds it takes to fill this in if it has any chance of helping. I’m guessing you’d rather be cynical though?
