Hunting aids yes or no 🤔

Could one of the experienced “butt out” users post some useful pictures of the aid in use next time they are successful? The online videos are awful and do not really show any benefit of using it? This is a genuine request rather than a sarcastic one!

Buttout... could see it being useful but same time, I find it easier too tie off.
I find it easier too remove in the larder after sawing the pelvis, for the smaller species at least.

I feel like tunneling causes unnecessary contamination.

I will admit as someone new too gralloching deer the right balance of pressure too push the pellets forward quickly, without ripping it Is a bit tedious.

Looking at those images, having never seen them before, I couldn’t work what they were for, but after reading all the comments I think I’ve worked it out…

If you do a suspended gralloch it’s very easy to do the anus first. Once it’s tunnelled the whole lot is free & breaks the vacuum in the abdominal cavity which in turn creates a void which reduces the chances of nicking anything inside when you make the first cut to open it up.

IIRC the Butt Out only comes in one size? - the one I’ve seen used is far too big, even on a fallow, & the person demonstrating how great it was made a real mess using it & took longer to remove the debris than it would have taken to simply tunnel with an appropriately sized knife!!
