I belive these just dont exist, someone prove me wrong??
Id been warned off a rifle because of this very item being all but impossible to find and after a good serch it seems so.
I know theres the sako option but that looks like a big job!
Anyone with experience of such?

I’ve a magnum which is riveted I think and a few on order in 473 from PTG

They were all on order in late August and still haven’t been sent

How big a job is it to machine the bolt for the m16 or sako type....big as in expensive?
And does that then require some relief in the corresponding face of the barrel.
I appreciate im asking you to share expertise for free.

It’s an involved job and yes interns of value if the gun - expensive

For Sako extractors no extra relief needed though M16 due to the larger protrusion over the case head does require the barrel to have the rebate opened to the spec of the extractor fitted

Personally - I’ve seen Sako extractors wear out of the retaining pockets on rem bolts

The M16 extractor is bombproof

But the standard extractors take some beating on a work about rifle
