Anyone using the above combination and if so would you be able to share the powder weight you have had success with please?

Thanks in advance

Everyone's rifle is different as is other components used, so I wouldn't go off what works well for someone else.
Appreciate that but its a good starting point as I already have a conflict with 2 bits of published data. I also appreciate the "work up" part but there is nothing like real world experience.

I came across my first GRT issue yesterday. Apparently 15% under max pressure, but tight bolt and case head extractor marks

I do know that they shoot well and kill deer.
Thanks. This seems to be the general consensus of those who use them which is reassuring. My results with copper on factory have been good from a terminal perspective...just want to get the accuracy better.

Personally don’t use the 6.5, but get excellent accuracy in 6 and 7mm. I not an endless group shooter, but i check zero from time to time they are on point of aim. When I first tested them, well within an inch at 100 from light barrelled stalking rifles.

Will I be ultra competitive in target shooting with my set up - probably not. Do I shoot deer - absolutely.

The Fox bullets have a reputation for producing good accuracy and terminal performance. They are not a high BC bullet so trajectory/ performance drops off at above 300 if that really matters.

I have had issues with bigger deer running. But that has been my shooting and putting the bullet too far back. I would have had same issue with any other bullet.

Thanks for the feedback. There is little real world justification for me to reload as I get around 1" MOA with factory ammo but the rifle will shoot better then that so I just want to reduce the margins to a level I am happy with (Im not a target shooter). Like you Im trying to move POA a little further forwards but I still find Im tending for the "behind the shoulder" shot with copper (almost like a muscle memory) and so far no major issues compared to lead.

Also 300 yards is really my max range for deer so no need to push beyond that for the stalking/shooting I do,

Getting the accuracy better is challenging with non-lead. I've wasted a lot of time and money on non-performing non-lead reloads. It's worthwhile exploring the factory options too.

Over half the deer I currently shoot are shot with factory non-lead.

Thanks and appreciate I may be chasing something I dont need to achieve. Hornady CX accuracy not great, S&B Blue and Sako Blade both around the 1" MOA mark and both kill fallow, roe and Red without issue (if I do my job). Most deer I shoot are in the SW and the game dealer requires non toxic so trying to get a decent load that does everything. I've moved back to the .243 for foxing as shooting the foxes with copper brought a financial tear to my eye each time I pulled the trigger :)

Yup, I too am unlearning. No issue with Roe, but keep forgetting how big red deer actually are.

@Mike1979 The best I have managed so far with my 260 Rem are home loads using Barnes 100gr TTSX. In due course I will try this in 6.5 Creedmoor. In terms of factory I will in the future try the brands you have identified and RWS 6,5 Creedmoor EVOLUTION GREEN 6,0g | RWS Ammunition I think that for the 6.5s the ideal non-lead bullet weight is ~110gr.

Thanks for the response. One guy I know shoots red and sika with 102.5 grn copper. Hopefully the combination above works for me...will try and post some results later in the year when I get time to try it all out 👍

I have a load with 114gr Yew Tree bullets that is very accurate and the bullet works well. Unfortunately ny powder choice of RL15 is not available so will need to find another powder, but the bullet is good. And British

I have a very accurate load using RS60 and 123 grain Fox. However it’s in a 6.5x55 not a 6.5CM.

If you think that might help you feel free to PM me.

Cheers mate. I have had some load data for exactly the same in the Creed so thats what Im going to try but very much appreciate your help and the kind offer 👍

Out of interest, who are the 2 bits of published data?

Assume the first is Edinburgh RIfles who have the factory load data. But who's the second?

It was actually off the Reload Swiss website. Someone kindly confirmed good results that match Edinburgh Rifles data so thats somewhere near where I will start (I ll work up a little just to make sure there are no pressure signs).
