Stalking ITV1 Now

Yeah point taken Stan, i know that FStv etc rely upon sponsors in order to produce the show, which is good generally. Regardless of the cost, i found that ITVs bit on stalking was about the deer and the stalking/eating/management whereas articles on FStv seem to be more and more about finding a subject like stalking in order to talk about the person or equipment used.

Dont get me wrong, its good to hear about the equipment used but sometimes i think the focus is lost. It doesnt matter how much norma pay FStv to advertise their bullets but if the article loses its way and doesnt get me to watch then the 'advert' to all purposes loses its affect.

Richard (fairacre) that was filmed on the estate i work at , i will take you up sometime

Nigel do you recognise where they were , john is the guy who took over from Kevin
Colin,
there is no way that is where you work !! from what i remember the hills i walked (staggered) up were a hell of a lot steeper than what was shown !! lol my legs are still recovering !!!!

£100K gets you 15 minutes of program material, which will take 16 hours of real camera time and not be of the "quality" that you desire.

Wow - really? where does it all go? I can sort of understand if it is lots of green screen/CGI but if it is just wildlife/landscape shots and following people around... Does that include the air time as well?

That's because it was a 'food program' not a 'shooting' program...

anyone notice he shot the deer standing facing right, but the entry hole was on the other side?

then he left the keeper to sort it,

still a good programme.

Seeing as you don't see the shot I don't really get how you can make that comment.

Also I can assure you Mike grallochs more deer than 95% of the people on this site each year, so no need to get worked up about him leaving the keeper to do it.

immediately before the shot the deer was standing showing her right side, the entry wound was on her left,
editing?
my comment anout leaving it for the keeper, was aimed at why not show the whole thing to the public.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. How could you pass judgement on something you haven't seen?

bob i would imagine it would be too much for the public ,same as the actual shot hitting the hind .show the good bits and hopefully win the public around abit at a time rather than a public out cry of being too graphic ,atb wayne

I think the point being made here is just because you see something on TV doesn't mean it actually happened that way.

A bit like watching Coronation Street and thinking it is real.

My world has turned to shyte, Coronation St not Real!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next you will be saying that WWF is staged..
O'h how you have shattered my world...
Shame on you..

Yes I know but it's true.

Incidentally isn't that the area where the biggest stag in Scotland ever recorded was shot the season before last?

Nigel do you recognise where they were , john is the guy who took over from Kevin[/QUOTE]

Yes Colin i recognised the location still waiting for you to get me a Billy Goat !

Still loads of them up there Nigel , just let me know when , i will get John to take you:-D
Bri , that ride they set off on is where you went when we saw that big stag , surely the
blisters have gone now .its that rifle mate , bit on the heavy side:D

I wonder if this was ITV testing the water, as this series has been on before, but never seen "the shot". Just a thought.

Wills,

Countrywise Kitchen series 1 & 2 have been on before. This is the start of series 3.

Stan

Stan, that was my point. The last series I don’t think he ever elighted upon a deer. The impression i have is that it was almost but not quite. However, hear is one we prepared earlier. Even though you didn’t see the deer on the shot, the impression was there, as we saw a shot taken, then cut to a shot of the deer on the ground. What I am alluding to is I wonder if ITV are toying with the idea that the general public are becoming more open to the idea of connecting a living thing with a food, by means of a process. If well received and there is little or no flack then ITV and other channels may be more inclined to televise more programs of this nature. Remember the series the Game Keeper on the BBC circa 1995? I for one would like to see a remake of that.

Regards

Wills

i do agree with wills each program seems to be a step closer with being accepted just abit at a time so not to overdoo things ,atb wayne
