Z6i front mount

Advice required ive looked up that if you fit a pard to a z6i you end up with alot of issues. Has anyone fitted a front mount for night shooting.
Any help with this would be great many thanks.

We are thinking about buying a thermal add-on and are currently considering the Hikmicro Thunder or the Nocpix Mate.

We are also considering mounting this on our scopes with a Rusan adapter, but we’ve heard that it can sometimes stick when removing the add-on and requires a lot of force to open.

Does anyone have experience with Rusan adapters and how they perform in practice?

I'm constantly lamenting the loss of a scope . Nothing beats a scope for daytime use.
My Zulus is fantastic at night and not to bad in the day but never as good as glass.
My pard ds on the hmr is mediocre but ok.
Again I miss glass for daytime. Having to switch on and off, carry cells. Focus every shot. Bright sun and pixelation blah blah.

I'm constantly tempted to get a good add on.
A pard 007sp 4k maybe.
I had a 2k version but had it on a scope that would not come below 6x so it was difficult to acquire a target sometimes due to lack of fov from the add ons high base mag of 2x.

Doing exactly the same at present as an alternative to the Hik Alpex 4k so that I have the benefit of my good glass right up to the point where I add the Thunder for that last 30 minutes. So far, so good. It’s working better on my .308/Z6i 2.5- 15x50 than on my .270 5-30x50 but at present I’m sold. I think your scope is too high a mag to start with personally and I wouldn’t shooting those distances either - reckon 200m max for me.

Are you considering thermal or night vision? What rifle is it going on - do you have the option to direct mount over hanging off the objective bell? Repeatability is one of the most important areas when thinking about an add-on - but it does provide the best of both worlds. I use both thermal and NV, depending on application. Many of the 'issues' spoken of on the net are borne from a lack of a repeatable solution, or the use of a make-do when connecting the systems - including the connection of the human system!

Many thanks for your reply i have a hikmicro at present. im not getting on with it very well. It seems a shame that my exspensive scope sits in a box. I dont shoot much more than a 100 yards when its dark. Ill look at the link many thanks.

Just night vision Eric im struggling with hicmicro day night scope. When you have any exspensive scope you really want to use it.
