Have a look at first focal plain scope FFP they have a more pronounced reticle something like the Swarovski habicht 3-12 x50

I prefer an illuminated reticle that you can turn down to next to nothing at last light.
I also have a non IR Meopta FFP 3-12, the reticle is a very thick thing on higher mags.
That's why I have 3 klassiks. There definitely not target style scopes.Schmidt and Bender, especially the Klassik with a No. 4 reticule.
So thick you can shoot by moonlight with it.
