Out last night.

Mike, Vixen looks loaded up with milk.:-|
Was she drying off?
I will be honest in that I felt bad to have shot her given the fact that there is no way of finding the den due to a massive badger earth just above where she was shot...but alas I dont shoot them this time of year unless I need to so not much I can do.

With regard to the question when I first saw her I though she hadnt cubbed as she had a massive belly on her until I got closer and turned the torch on...she must have had a bloody good feed recently. I reckon you are spot on unless she had just decided to starve them for a day or so.

Don't worry, there will be a relative helping or they will survive because they do or a rival vixen will kill them for you.

There are 3 stags roaming around here at the minute - they seem to do this every summer just as the season closes!!
Meanwhile, a big group of hinds started to appear more regularly - they are a bit transient but I’ve seen them a few times now

Are these on yours 75 ?

Last night it was 2 hinds and a stag

Seen three tonight n got two. Both were good stalks in the moon but the second took an hour to get the shot. Just the wee 17. Both shots were under 100yds. The first fox was tucking into a hare supper.

The highlight though was my roe buck coming to check me out.
I noticed he has lost some hair. Looks like he's had a collision with a vehicle maybe??
Looks fine though. I need to find the two young bucks though.
Anyway enjoy.

Went stalking on dusk but only found one fox on cut grass. It was on a mission but I had a hunch where it was heading so cut it off and waited.
Eventually it appeared where I was expecting and slowly came my way as I observed from the shadows on higher ground.
Eventually it came my way, I presume to inspect some recent cadivers!
The quad sticks filled me with confidence so I went for it. 233yds.
Watch out for the badger!

Jess was sent to find.
