All male clients ego driven pricks, I’ve been guiding since I was 26 I’m now 46 I’ve just about seen it all, heard it all and tracked them all!

Until you’ve done it and got 10 years under your belt and tracked the **** ups with a dog you’ve seen and experienced naff all!

I’m currently out with clients (mostly male) about 6 days a week in the summer. I have been doing this for about 6 years now, so have taken probably 200 different clients stalking now (many are repeats clients who come regularly so I can’t count them as being different clients). I can count on one hand how many have caused me trouble, or have been ‘ego driven pricks’. If you find that so many different people are causing you trouble it’s probably time to ask yourself whether it’s truly them that’s the issue. The vast majority are simply looking to learn and enjoy the experience. Iv also done a lot of tracking work (I train a couple of dogs on the side each year and then move them on to other stalkers as I love training dogs) both here and in Europe and I’m surprised that you class yourself as such an expert after just owning one Bavarian.

Talking of guests, I must admit that the ladies I have taken out seem to pay more attention to what I tell them. Perhaps I have been lucky with both novices and experienced girls and less so with the male of the species, but I never allowed head shots
I was married once to a girl.who not only was a very accomplished artist but also one of the best all round stalkers I have ever seen on any sort of topography or type of deer. She never headshot an animal in the 17 years I was with her.

Whilst I find it difficult to follow some of the recent posts as I have certain people on ignore ... I imagine this is following the usual path of name calling ..all men are idiots all women are fantastic ...which frankly does nothing to promote sensible, adult conversation

We all have our views and will never agree ... just need to curtail some of the self righteous preaching.

Same here lad. I've ignored everybody untill they stop describing how good they are. Too many 0.5 moa shooters off sticks

Its well known that certain types of carp fisherman succumb to a brain fog-like condition that is at its most debilitating during extended periods of bank side self-isolation.

The technical term for this malady is "bivvy enduced cognitive dysfunction".

I’ve been tracking wounded deer 17 years, 15 of that with the Bavarian.

My last dog archived both Vorprufung and Hauptprufung and to this day the only Bavarian in the country to have achieved that level of training and experience!

All judged by the KBGS judges in and from Germany.

So first get your facts right!!

Second you carry on putting yourself and your dog at risk tracking at night because I don’t care

When your dealing with individual clients on a 1-1 basis then you have the ability as the guide to correct the problem / problems you may encounter.

I dont guide on a 1-1 I’m dealing with cull days, where I’m placing 5-7 stalkers to seats, where you have to take them on face value.

And in my experience over the last four years, the women’s group Artemis, approving themselves to be faultless, clean kills, with no losses or runners, they follow clear instruction to the letter and I will say every woman that has stalked here has been faultless bar one and she is now banned!

Before that I was dealing with men, and I was having to deal with missed / wounded and lost animals, male ego trying to be the swing dick and kill small Deer beyond 200m and pushing legal light to the absolute limit and beyond with glass, that’s why I don’t deal with men and I stand by what I say.

You are correct, I have a blatant hatred of MOST carp anglers, they are also egotistic pricks!

Where ever they are, I head the opposite way and that’s also the reason I fish syndicate waters and not day ticket waters!

I was taught that head shooting isn’t a tool to be reached for all the time.

But when you do , it’s back to front or front to back and never ever ever ever side on, and if that’s the only shot you have the deer walks away and is there for another day.

There’s an instagram page with a new ish stalker posting multiple side on headshots with dramatic music to add to the scene or some such.

I totally detest it.
