Recommendations for a small pocket knife.

another daft law written by someone who never daily uses a pocket knife, by all means limit the blade length but by not locking you risk injuring the user.
It's all about being seen to be doing something. Looks great on paper but let's have a show of hands as to who thinks criminals are law abiding!

I'm a fan of the Boker Plus Tech tool. I have 2 and they perform way better than their price point would suggest.
I also have one of Michael Mays lambsfoot in Yorkshire oak that's a bit nice too.

Benchmade Mini Griptilian if you an find one. Rare for a v good reason. Never known a knife so sharp and keep an edge. Not pocket legal in UK.

Enzo PK70 for modern flash awesomeness

Arthur Wright spear and pen blade wooden handle pocket knife for traditional awesomeness
Arthur Wrights lambs foot blade, with a carbon blade, strong unobtrusive & easy to sharpen to a razor edge. As used by farmers & shepherds who need a reliable working tool.

I'm still a big fan of Opinal No.8 in Carbon Steel. When out in the field I typically carry an old Whitby lock knife. I've not bought one in years now, but I think I would go Whitby again!

Got this for my lad, he really likes it

I have this although probably not suitable for every day carry as it locks

EKA Swede 8 or ten are the dogs danglies. Comes with a ten year warranty too.
Refer to the earlier post for a description.

I try not to buy anything French (Fkrs chucked Welsh lamb into a dock). I do have to admit that over the past 40+ years of shooting/hunting I have not found a pocket knife better than an Opinel! Not had one without the collar but no doubt the same quality blade.

I’m a fan of Benchmade and have a number of their locking folding knives, I see they now have a slip joint that’s UK legal carry, looks lovely. Must resist….🫣😬
