THE BOW HUNTER

Yeh an arrow uses a stainless steel broadhead (less your making some kinda joke and I’m just interpreting wrong) also I don’t think anybody is arguing or saying the bow and arrow should replace guns because it shouldn’t. but it shouldn’t be outlawed and should be another option for hunting
Like it is literally everywhere else, we’re the only country that’s outlawed it but then again, Britain’s the only country that lets its Gov outlaw free speech and not care about it so it’s really just a pipe dream
No no, free speech is available as long as it's only complaining or moaning of item's or topics selected from the government approved list of things to complain about 👍🏻

Go lobby your MP to start the process to have bow hunting made legal, it has fallen on deaf ears for lead (which is a shambles) :tiphat:
Which is my point to why it isn’t a legal method, if shooting was governed by its own individual body within government but it wasn’t subject to politicians having any say over it then Lead wouldn’t be banned, bows would be legal and your license would let you own whatever you wanted up to say 30-06

Almost as if the shooting world instead of lobbying mp’s all the time perhaps we call for our own governing independent body to run the show, may get on better

Yeh well I will await my day in court because there is nothing off limits with what I will say or do within the law as it stands, I don’t run my life according to tyranny that is (all politicians) 😂😂 let’s see how angry we can make Stalin

Cough cough sorry meant Starmer

I raise them here ye, but I’m not going to venture down a rabbit hole. Shootings already vilified as it is, never ever gonna see the Bow become legal here. I’m only trying to say that you think the Bow is too medieval and doesn’t have a place in the hunting world of the UK, well it does and absolutely should but as I said sadly it no doubt never will. Well certainly not until such times as people stop vilifying hunting as a thing to begin with.

Well "I am only trying to say" that it had it's chance and never made it (thank God) like seatbelts helmets drink driving you can flout everyday but I am sure you won't be out with the bow :tiphat:

Don’t understand why you would be soo thankful the Bow isn’t a legal method, I think it’s just entirely narrow minded and you’ve shut yourself off to other possibilities but then that’s fine you do you. I for one hope it does become legal and you never know there is good reasons for it like hunting areas without suitable backstops with the regular rifle.

Anyways enjoy your day, perhaps broaden your horizons to other possibilities tho

I often go out with a bow.
In fact it is you who is breaking a law by not doing so!
People like you make me sick.

People struggle with rifles if you read various accounts during the year! I could just see the "good reason to possess" box filling in with
"because I want one" Far too medieval in my opinion as for the re-load time and distance a deer might have run too then it could well be out of range
As a GMB archer, I am sorry to say you are talking out of your bottom 😁😁😁
A rifle - for the average man in the street is EASY.
If Tracking Point was still in business - a total ar5e could take sniper style shots 1st time out
A bowman on the other hand is a 1 in 10 person.... maybe even more.
You definitely have to have that magic element to make it as a bowman.
It doesnt matter what you spend on your kit, if you dont have that apptitude, you will be wasting your time.
Bows REALLY seperate those who can and those that cant.
As for reloading.... you are wrong there too.
The bow - especially modern bows - and especially compounds are truly awesome tools and precision in skilled hands. It would stop idiots shooting as they couldnt hit a barn door let alone a big red or even dangerous game if you have big enough plums.

No.... you need a safety zone behind. A compound will EASILY send an arrow thru a beasty assuming no major bone is struck and the type of head used.
I was comparing to a rifle. The arrow does not go as far. Use the right fletching and it will go less distance.
