Thanks , going to be a warm one unfortunately, 24°-27° is doable, once your over the 28° + mark it’s not Comfortable, but hey ho mustn’t grumble, I’ll get me tits in the sink and give it my best crack

Interesting, I had the opportunity to fish a bit of the Bure, the owners of Lammas coach house at the time offered. Never did manage it. Maybe I should have tried to find the time.

Be careful out there, many stories of cloaked people under a full moon practising satanic masses! Lammas is the old word for a witches Sabbath. The pub down the road is the Skeyton Goat.

I'll have to search YouTube to see if it comes up. I've never watched it.
All the small rivers/streams in Norfolk have been mullered by the Great Otter Release. Just when they were getting back to something a bit special, they were decimated by the big furry buggers.

Just had 2 pollack about 2kg each in 30mins, enough for dinner so all done for the day.

I used to find pollock a bit mushy until I started salting it for 20-30 minute's before cooking. Lovely and firm now

Sadly yes, I know of where a 50 lb carp was caught on the upper Thurne, not that many years ago, I know where within 500yds of so, but for the exact reason you have stated I’ve not bothered pursuing!

The smaller rivers seem to be easier for otters to hunt in, rivers like the Trent are not so badly affected, faster, wider, deeper, bigger... gives the fishes a better chance.

Here's a couple of 22 Spurdogs caught one evening off the rocks on the Isle of Skye and a descent Thornback caught by my wife Lynne in Milford haven.
