Another Thermal Option

Hello, Nord Force Thermal from Immersive Optics
For the money and 3 year warranty they seem a realy good option than those where you have to buy off Aliexpress or direct from factory, The same as the Hikmicro Thunder TH 35 under a different branding, There is not much in the way of Nordforce videos but quite a few on the Thunder TH 35

150.9 yards
Red dot in the picture in picture is the ballistic aim drop.
This is how the unit came I haven't looked at the brightness/contrast/etc which is all adjustable.

Lets be honest, using that scope on animals, with rimfire/centrefire, is asking for trouble past 50yds, 256px resolution should be airgun only, too much room for error and mis-identification.

The GOYOJO GRS225RF is a great real-world example of how a 256 × 192 sensor and a high-quality display work together. It is a budget-friendly thermal rifle scope that packs high-end display specs usually reserved for much more expensive gear. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Because it is a scope rather than a handheld inspection camera, it utilizes its sensor and screen differently to get the most out of its 49,152 pixels. [1, 2]

The Screen Makes a Massive Difference Here
While standard entry-level handheld tools use low-resolution LCD screens, the GOYOJO GRS225RF features a 0.49-inch OLED display with a high resolution of 1440 × 1080. [1]
  • Why it matters: The 1440 × 1080 OLED screen provides a sharp, dense, and contrast-rich image when you look through the eyepiece.

You could have a 4K telly as a screen , it won't make a difference to the image quality of a 256px sensor, they are right at the bottom end of whats available, same as the HikMicro and NocPix 256px sensors they're close range airgun setups, the detail is just not there for longer range.

Not off to a good start with mine

There is a spec of dust/something between the lens and the LCD screen, which looks like a dead pixel but its something internally there on the lens.

Hey ho.......got it zeroed in and input all the data to the BC to find the lrf and bc was not in sync as what ever range I got for the lrf the aim point was coming up in the same place everything time which was really frustrating, there was no way I was shooting anything with that not working, wounding a rabbit is not something I want to do so it was bagged up and thrown in the van.

I got onto goyojo and they recommended downloading the latest firmware which I did (v1.10) i then went into the BC setting to input all my data to find it wont let me change the projectile weight, not impressed so far by my experience......but the thing is i want it to work as it has got potential.

From what I did experience I cant see me wanting to put it on my HMR, I dont think its capable of head shooting rabbits at 150yrds, I think that image in the post above showing the rabbits at 150yrds was ranged at 150 then taken a bit close.....may be wrong but I will test it out when I next get out with it once ive heard back from goyojo on whats causing me not to be able to change the pellet weight

This would be a great offering for airgun users like Ian says and it would be great for people on a tight budget........but I couldn't be faffing on with sending it back to China for a repair, this one needs to go back because of the dust/spec thats on the screen, seems a bit of a gamble .

Not sure why I cant change my projectile weight now but if I can't get that sorted im not wasting anymore of my time on it as I absolutely hate chewing on with stuff that should just work.......especially when inwas sent to to do a review! Quality control must have looked through this one with there eyes closed!

Hello, I will try and find post and let you know, Did you contact Goyojo ??
I heard back from them and they said this

This value is probably out of range. When you enter it, the top of the screen shows the allowed minimum and maximum values.

You can also adjust the unit settings in the last option of the previous menu. In the Ballistic Assistant screen, the last option is Unit Setting, where you can switch units.

......I will have a look later and see if I can sort it out🤞

Either that’s closer than 150 yards or those are massive rabbits. Probably should say massive thermal blobs as it’s not exactly 100% that they are rabbits in my view.

Got the bullet weight in so thats good but the BC is still not working, ive got it on simple, recorded and no joy on it bringing the new aim point up on the screen when using the LRF at closer and further distances.....its on a airgun so I need the BC in play, ive emailed them again so should hear back tomorrow 😏
