DPT with the stainless baffle
I'm running a .30 Cal UTS131 on my .270
I've written a lot about F&D mods on here over the years, this is one of the latest:
I had erosion issues with a F&D FW196 (manufacture replaced at a sizeable discount) but I still have a similar aged FW149 that shows no signs of wear, period
I do home load and always try to ensure 100% powder burn in barrel and have been meticulous in drying them out after use, bore-snaking and then spraying with Napier SilenSave.
Back to the OP's question: I run a UTS131 on a Tikka T3X 20"...

I cannot confirm or deny that I may have used my 6.5 FW149 on the .270 too, but the UK supplier wasn't happy with that so for longevity, I went .30 cal.

How does it work noise wise considering mods are supposed to make guns quieter and muzzle breaks usually make them louder?

I bought the latest 3D printed Freyr for my 270 but £400! Should have got a DPT as per my 308. Great mod at sensible price

For those that do not know of us, we are a small engineering company in the Middle of rural Wales, we have internet and colour TV and the ability to design and manufacture sound moderators which we have been doing for 10 years.
We have a standard range of three types:
AS Series .... Alunimium with or without a stainless steel blast baffle, fully strippable with individual baffles should you gas cut one.
S Series .... All stainless steel, welded construction and tested at full auto, 100 shot strings on both 5.56 and 7.62
R Series .... Stainless and aluminium hybrid for rimfire use, strippable for cleaning these filthy calibres
We also offer a custom build option if you want or need something a little different.
We also retail firearms, ammunition and accessories such as nv or thermal.

Been using an SL5 since 2015. Requires no maintenance just a spray with WD40. Good sound attenuation. Compact, a little bit heavy but helps with muzzle flip. I don't find it upsets the balance of the rile.
