Heck pack Game transporter

EMcC if you find yourself in the misfortunate position of being in Southampton try Solent plastics they do the tub's with the lids like what olib007 was looking at. They've got a web site they do second hand stuff to. My tub can fit a sizable fallow with the lid open or smaller species closed, well handy.

Im not 100% but I was under the impression that the tow bar carcass trays were illegal to use on a british highway???

They are legal on UK roads, and are the same principal as the Thule bike racks and anything else that is attached to the toe bar but without wheels. The only law regarding their use is that you must not exceed the nose weight of the car. To give an example my freelander's nose weight is 140kg, mondeo is about 75kg. It is printed on the toe bar what the nose weight is or you can check here: http://www.pct-automotive.co.uk/

The advantage of the bath tub is that you can lift if out of the vehicle, place it on the side and get the carcass into it (Carcass being a red in this case) lift it upright again and then lift one end onto the tail gate, lift other end then slide/push into the load space. A plasterers bath won't allow you to do this, not long enough. Obviously with a 2 man extraction it's easy to lift the carcass into the load space, but I do a lot of stalking by myself and I just aint strong enough to lift a 140lb red into the boot.

What a strong, lean, green, fighting machine like you Stuart, I don't believe it ;)
I'm finding that problem now with the Fallow and have since got a Gantry with winch and now am experimenting with this back pack frame thingy.
The Disco lowers on the suspension so that helps me quite a bit.

I know, shocking ain't it. If the L200 didn't have the rear canopy, I'd manage, but not being able to stand on the load area then lift with a rope is a pain.

here is my carrier , i have put a platform on the top for an arm to use a winch and it will also do a suspended gralloch , the heavy duty bag is being made and winch should lift the bag with the carcass into the carrier or the carrier is place into the carrier and folded down so the carcass fits in with no hassle and then it folds back up to zip the beast in ,atb wayne ps excuse the duff pics they where off the iphone

Is it made of stainless? Looks the part, but looks to be heavy too? Have you weighed it? The arm for a winch is a good idea, good to see it fully assembled and on the vehicle.
