I can only assume your customers hearing must be different from everyone elses or the area you are testing it in must be bouncing the sound back at you. Chris Potter are very good customers of ours and continue to buy Hardy's in quantity. In fact there last shipment was dispatched today and their customers continue to be pleased with them. They sell more Hardy then anything else.
It might pay for you to check with them before you start bring their name into it as well. I am aware that you used to be a customer of theirs but are setting up business for yourself in the same area.
Pete Moore from Shooting Sports and Byron Pace from Sporting Rifle both PURCHASED ( no they didnt get freebies either ) their own after testing them as they are positive the the Hardy is one of the quietest and lightest avilable, and they have tested them all.
A simple search of Hardy Suppressors on You Tube will bring up the Mods being used ( not sponsored by Dan Hardy by the way) both here and NZ and show how well they work.
McClouds of Tain are another big supporter and supplier of the Hardy, and no they havn't had freebies just Scottish stalkers impressed by their performance and swapping in their old T8's and ASE's. The first UK Police force has just taken delivery of theirs after a protracted testing process in which the Hardy came out on top.
As to being caught off gaurd, when a customers complains about a peice of equipment which you know to be excellent it is always hard to know what to say to them. A lot of the time its because they havn't been educated enough about the product which in this case would appear to be my fault although I am sure the muzzle break would have been explained to you.
It appears that the Hardy Moderator has not impressed you the way it has impressed other people. I also run the shop here and I am directly resposible for supplying the moderators to customers and for the last year have supplied nothing else and have had nothing but compliments about them. You can understand when a start up RFD decides to slate them and the other RFD's that sell them especially his closest competition, in public, without ever allowing the supplier to sort anything out to your satisfaction how that might raise suspicions.
I am sure your moderator has not had many rounds through it, maybe we could offer you a refund and supply something else??
And please before you disappear off down the marketing hype road again, get some sound measuring equipment, do a test, stick it on YOUTUBE or something so that everyone on here and the other forums can see the evidence to back your claims up. That way it wont just look like you have an axe to grind to promote your own stuff
Bentley,
I would love to order 20 Mods and get a free one, As i said in my post they are well made, and do reduce recoil well. Unfortunately my customers are not easily convinced by marketing hype, and if they feel their rifle is louder (which with the Hardy Gen III can they all did) they are not going to buy it and I would be left with quite a few black paperweights bearing your companies name.
There is always going to be a trade-off with lightweight moderators in terms of noise reduction, most people understand this and are prepared to accept it for the gains in handling and weight reduction.
When i spoke to you last year on 18th April, before you you knew i was prospective trade customer, you proceeded to give me the sales pitch on the Hardy, you categorically stated that it was one of the quietest moderators on the market. When i replied that i had been present when the free mod you had provided to Chris Potter Country Sports had been tested and we all agreed that it was not quiet at all, you were caught off guard and proceeded to back pedal. You then proceeded to sell me what was supposed to be a Badger Ordnance bolt knob, but in fact turned out to be something you have made in the UK, but still felt it necessary to charge Badger prices for it.
So as you can see i would have absolutely no reason to contact you for clarification when so far all i have received is misinformation, poor customer service, and inflated prices.
I certainly won't be contacting you for any "Training" but i will continue to purchase and evaluate Hardy products, as i feel being a forward thinking and well equipped business, eventually they may live up to the claims previously made.
