Looking for recommendations on places to go in Scotland with the boy for a week or so and maybe fit in a bit of stalking.

Scotland is actually a big place and has loads of dog friendly places. What is your budget and where do yo want to go?

RED-DOT: haven't got anywhere in mind, hense this post. Looking around £300-£500 for about a weeks trip. Would be interested in doing some stalking while there but first and foremost is just getting away from work for a few days.

Go self catering, websites like cottages4you have a button to show only pet friendly places.
You will find the jocks the most pet friendly people on earth.

We always take a dog crate so we can get respite without worrying about the boy trashing the place, not that he does.

Cheers.

East Kirkland Farm, Wigtown. Self catering cottages have the lot,gun cabinet in each cottage, dog kennels if you want to use them, indoor swimming pool and really friendly place, ive been going for over15yrs, honestly terrific.

We spent a week at Stinchar cottage in Ballantrae last year.... on the bank of the river Stinchar with fenced in private garden down to the river ideal for dog. The owner has a farm nearby, he can put you onto someone to take you stalking. Or there's Jim (already mentioned) just up the road in Girvan.

There is Colin on here AKA Solway Stalker, he has a cottage as well as stalking plus he's a top bloke, more than sure he'll be dog friendly. Good luck
