Save Scottish Salmon

I'd be interested to hear what the northnatlantic salmon trust has done/said about this they have long campaigned for the preservation of wild salmon & bought out many of the netsmen in Ireland & pressurised the Irish government into removing the traps from their rivers, maybe they will step in here & buy the netsmen out again, I hope something is done.

Signed, I just cannot believe this one. There is so much farmed salmon available, maybe not quite as good but surely it would suffice until the wild stocks had ample time to recuperate if possible.

Redneck,

It's the farming of salmon at sea that's killing the wild stock. All the salmon fishing interest want anglers to boycott the product.

Thanks guys
The wild fish need to be cared for and not harvested.
Hopefully it will make some difference.

Hi Guys
I have just received this email regarding the petition.
Thanks again and a Merry Christmas to you all.

Alan

Thus far we have had an amazing response to our petition, over 6000 people in just 4 days! I'd like to thank you all for giving this extremely important subject such wonderful attention.
I hope we can now move it forward and build on this by asking each and every one of you to use every media tool at your disposal to reach to your friends, family and contacts - E Mail, social media, newsletters, newspapers, radio, TV, anything to open the debate to a wider audience about the social and economic benefit of protecting and conserving this amazing and "Iconic" creature.
Please take time to read the points of the petition. It will take two minutes and educate those who don't know, but will care. They spell out clearly who will be the losers if this mismanagement continues and are backed up with "FACT". The losers are not, "rich anglers", but 2800 "ORDINARY SCOTTISH PEOPLE"!
Its just a great shame that one of Scotland's most Iconic creatures remains hidden from the public beneath the waves for most of its life. They cannot speak or be seen but are in trouble and need our help. This petition is about THEM , as well as the people and families who depend on their return to our rivers. Please take time to have a quick scan of the main points of the petition and talk about the plight of wild salmon and its importance to the Scottish Economy over lunch at Christmas :-) Many Thanks and Have a Merry Christmas.

Scrum bag,

The killer of wild salmon is the farmed industry. You choose to support them. I fish for salmon and support wild salmon, I take only one a year.

Stan, keep hair on. I fish for salmon too. I release mine and I do not purchase it from shops or in restaurants.

Glad you support fishing in Scotland and merry christmas!
