Its not to long ago, on Stalking Directory that if you asked a question, then that was the question that was answered, and answered with wisdom and experiance
I think standards of Etiquette on Stalking Directory has dropped.
There seams to be several newbies who have thousands of posts yet only been a member for a short time, these guys take things off topic quicker than anyone else.
Please if you have nothing add to the question dont post

I originally wasn't going to post on this and though that perhaps I was one of the naughty members who should only politely agree with established posters but as I like a good argument and a couple of the posts seem to be pointed in my direction I thought I could justifiably contribute. I will try to be diplomatic and only upset a few of our "experts"
As an instant expert myself I can not see the link between the length of membership/ number of posts,knowledge and expertise ( please enlighten me if I am missing something) Being an established poster seems to endow some with special powers, it has for post no13 " instant experts on here" a poster who has condemned every major band of 22 ammo as inaccurate and has now moved on to" a laser guided death ray" obviously not an instant but a time served expert? This" instant expert" term seems to be used by the self appointed as a derisory term for those newer members who dare to voice a different or contradictory opinion to theirs
.As for as the forum( clue is in the name) most of us are adults excluding those with death rays and we are not all going to agree and I certainly don't have any desire to skip off into the sunset holding hands with any of you. There seems to be a tendency to ridicule or belittle those with differing views rather than persuade by strength of argument.
Off topic that's part of how a normal conversation develops.
New members and those seeking advice need civility and sound experienced based advice not a stupid one word answer and insults.
I think shooting is a bit like sex and can be divided into three groups :- There are those who constantly think about it , talk about it even more in an effort to convince others that their getting more the their fair share but in reality wouldn't know what to do if it was handed to them on a plate.
The second group don't need to convice anyone, their banging away(shooting pun), know what their doing and getting plenty of it
The third group think that sex is a solitary, single handed activity.
People will have to make their own judgement as to what category they fit in.
I would assume I am covering the same ground as others its difficult to keep up, not being a full time s/d instant expert. I also have to study hard so that I can become a professor of knowitall as well as an instant expert.
