Pretty! It's shiny! and it's got a micrometer attached to it! ;)
I gave my Wilson away last month because I got tired of dusting it. I load for so many different cartridges that the Wilson was just impractical. For the money I'd spend in gauges I could buy all kinds of accessories for my Forster like neck reamers, a neck turning attachment with pilots, trimming pilots.... I just couldn't pass up that versatility.~Muir

Now where did that trimmer wander off to...and what became of it... Hmmm....:D

Wherever is it, I don't miss it. The Forster is -while not as cool looking- so much more versatile. Cases trimmed in it are exactly the same length, every time, and since I always trim to the length of the shortest case in the LOT I'm loading, the micrometer adjustment is moot. The "short" case is used to set the cutter. What sets the Forster apart is the neck turning attachment, and for me, the neck reamers. They are great for thinning/uniforming the necks of military 308 brass before forming to 7mm-08. Likewise, reaming the doughnut from the shoulder region of reformed 308 Norma Magnum when made from 300 Winchester Magnum. The Forster has saved me lots of grief while the Wilson, and in fairness, others, sat unused.~Muir

thanks for the effort

im not sure how ive upset K

Nothing personnel or to do with your standard or service delivery but rather that very soon after posting I found a vendor that best suites my approach to acquisition.

Put another way I wouldn’t hesitate to use 1967Spud in future but on this occasion I have it covered thanks.

Sorry if my unusually curt reply gave an unhelpful impression.

Cheers and may the strength of the Milbro catapult be with us.
