I pay 50 per acre per year. And I can assure you all it won't be long before that will be the only way to shoot!
Thank you very much for telling me that, it makes me feel much betterJust for discussion.
$50 (25 sterling?) per acre will buy you land with pigs & goats to hunt, in western NSW & Qld. A game licence for around $50 will buy you access to about 4 million acres to hunt in NSW & similar in Vic on public land.

Yes I hear what you say but don't forget I can remember when you could have bought North Wales for £10,000Crikey
If I had to pay that much I'd expect to be able to graze my sheep and cattle on there too!
Farmer is talking of price per deer shot not leasing shooting rights. I don't know yet how many are on the ground or even the size of the land. Would you say £35/40 per deer is a good starting point for negotiations.
You're right Sharkey and have you noticed what a totally different attitude people have in Scotland. We really are a completely different race in thought and actions. It's interesting that so many see deer as pests, rather than a desirable asset to the land.

Like someone put, it's supply and demand and if there's people wanting it, the price goes up.
