LIke most of the rest of Europe and the Deer Search operation in the US - does anyone know if there are any plans to set up something similar here?

A friend is the police call out for deer RTA's but 60% of the time he turns up to find no sign of the mortally hit deer and I know quite a few people who stalk without a dog.

Thoughts?

Early days yet, but IMO the ethos behind Schweiss UK ticks all the right boxes, so I'll be getting behind it.

Sent my cheque off 2 - 3 weeks ago, not cashed yet and dont think they will till all problems sorted out.
shame about all there problems, lets hope its sorted soon

can't get any answers from Schweiss UK as that have not responded to any emails that hav been sent

I believe that the situation is 'in flux' at the moment, and until an announcement is made to either confirm it's still on or to sound the death knell on it, then I'll just wait for them to sort it out. Therefore I can understand why Alison wishes to put some distance between Paint & Pins and Schweiss-UK at the moment as they have their own business to run which has nothing to do with it.

As Anthony (Cookingfat) says, they are sorting some 'issues' out, but FWIW I think that the regional club based concept that Mark first proposed, independent and free from affiliation with the shooting, DMQ and other organisations, (and minus the 'for profit' motive as well), is a sound basis to start from and I for one would support that wholeheartedly. It would be a crying shame if it doesn't eventually get off the ground either as Schweiss-UK or under another name if need be.

I saw that when I flicked through it in the Library, (aka W H Smith). Looks like a pretty rudimentary list of, 'I have a dog and I'm available to track'. No standard or demonstration of tracking ability required, so I think I'll go borrow next door's lunatic Spinone and let him loose in the countryside!
