BASC elections, Martyn Jones hunt ban advocate

I am sorry but something about Swift made me leave the BASC after 25 years as a member of the Gamekeepers Association. Couldn't really put my finger on it for a long while but I was recently proven right. Don't know this man and don't want to from his former actions, just another reason to be glad I'm out. They seem to continually digging a deeper hole, thank goodness for the NGO and CA at least we know they are committed to our sports.

I did likewise although I rejoined after Swift left, I am not at all sure why BASC apparently has no safeguards against infiltration by antis though.

I am not too happy at all, the way they are going, it's almost a death wish. I am afraid they only have a couple of staff that I would consider are totally Ok,one in England and one in Scotland, all others I have met don't give me the impression that they are in it for the members.

I am no longer a member but I would quite like to know who nominated him ?
How many people voted for him and how many of those know him personally, I wonder ?
Did he deliberately take advantage of BASC's rules ?
Just about breaks the relationship with the CA I would think, after JS, and doesnt help to promote links with others e.g. CLA.
Having been on the Countryside March, I wonder how former fox-hunting shooters feel ?
Still I am out with no wish to return and BASC will feel no responsibility for the shooters who are not Members.
