Hunting knife

There’s a guy selling kydex sheaths for this knife on eBay. Would be easy to assume it’s no good considering the price but having tried all sorts over the years I think this is pretty much perfect. Blade profile is spot on, holds an edge well, ergonomic and non slip handle, easy to sharpen.
These are as near perfect knife as you could get for next to nothing in price👍

Picked this up at a petrol station in Finland. 5&1/2" blade. Probably a bit too long but great carbon steel I can hone to light-sabre sharpness in no time. £55. What sensible people the Finns are. Deer people. I am told it is a Leeuku. Martini make good ones apparently. This was made by the chap that sold the petrol. I wish Opinel made a fixed blade. I always have a couple of those in my pack.

Another vote for the Victorinox 4”
Easy sharpen and maintain, well capable of dealing with several deer before needing anything more than a strop or rub of a steel
Only downside is having to source an aftermarket sheath
Have you tried putting it in a mora or hulfators sheath? They seem to grip most normal sized handles.
The knife does look the perfect size and shape, I'm ordering one

I have had all sorts but settled (for now) on these.

Top is a danum fallow, long slim blade, great for bleeding reds.

Bottom is a snakes knife, a delicate little blade ideal for smaller species.

Both are razor sharp and don’t need much more than a good strop to return to shaving sharp.

I really like both of these.
Tusker

4 inch Victorinox knives, 4inch Rabbit (black handle) & 4 inch boning Victorinox Swibo knife, plastic sheaths off Hultafors ( knife and sheath about £7.50 from Axminster and a Mora plastic sheath off a Mira Precision knife about £25 , both sheaths fit/work well with the 4 inch Victorinox knives 👍👍

I would not hesitate to add @Majki14 to this list. My knife from him is second to none and I have owned and used blades from most uk custom makers. He is going to make me a custom shaped blade next. Blade on the right next to a stainthorp.

Thank you Shaun for your recommendation.
It is important for me and can be interpreted as objective for others because you have had and tested a lot of knives. Thank you
