Hello All

Which manufacturers do you recommend someone told me Lokaway another Brattonsound, Buffalo River?

Been advised to go for the larger capacity one so no swapping and changing or having to upgrade.

I'm delighted with our large Lokaway cabinet, and they're cheaper than equivalent sizes by other manufacturers.
Gdk are a good budget option for smaller cabinets. Personally I don't see what you're really getting that makes the Brattonsound worth more.

I have the Lokaway LBA14 . straight out the box they reqlly ooze quality build!
also fully material lined with cushion barrel seats, and a LED light.

if i ever needed to look at a safe again would most definitely go with a lokaway again.
i did originally look at Buffalo river. but all the larger ones are months away from delivery.
the Lokaway was 3 days from order to delivery!

Depends on your budget but one thing I find people don't look at is fire rating too if you have valuable items or no replaceable items in there regardless or price something sentimental to you etc that insurance won't replace regardless of money

All lower end safes are of the same similar construction few mm thich steel basic locks so can't go wrong with any of them really ones you've mentioned are all good safes for the money definitely get one bigger than you think you need as you always get less guns in there then they state etc will probably grow how many guns etc etc

Money no object or size of space for putting it in I'd go fort knox myself lovley safes

I have the buffalo River 24 gun, very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. As already mentioned, you’re probably never get the amount of guns in that it states so always go bigger.

If it counts, have an out of warranty Bratton Sound that has just had a new lock sent out to me because "it should not have broken". That was after being given advice on how to open the cabinet without having to drill or angle grind it (using the key, but...). Cannot fault that for after sales.

Also, saw the Spiker safes at the shooting show and was very impressed with quality.

Regards

Have look on the likes of eBay etc and see if any decent second hand ones are for sale locally to you. I’ve bought new and second hand and saved money, significantly, with second hand. I agree though buy bigger than you need, and don’t buy something too shallow meant for shotguns. I’m just biding my time waiting for something to come up locally that’ll better accommodate some airguns I want to store in a bigger cabinet.
Good luck!

I got my first brattonsound off eBay. It was slightly damaged. Think it was 280 for an rl7+.

Without reading the thread I'm sure everyone has said they always fit less guns than advertised (less rifles anyway) and you need a deep one not a shotgun cabinet.

I’ve got two ultimate safe for sale. A 5gun shotgun and a 7gun rifle (which realistically is a “5rifle with scopes” on safe).
£140 Based in Bedfordshire. COC.
